Author Guideline

Thank you for considering JAMU : Jurnal Abdi Masyarakat UMUS for submitting your research on community engagement and multidisciplinary community service projects. Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that you follow these author guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient review process:

  1. Manuscript Preparation:
    • Manuscripts should be written in English and submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
    • Use Times New Roman font, size 12, and double-spacing throughout the manuscript.
    • Include page numbers and line numbers for ease of review.
  2. Title Page:
    • The title page should contain the title of the manuscript, the names of all authors, their affiliations, and email addresses.
    • Clearly indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk and provide their full contact information.
  3. Abstract:
    • Provide an abstract of no more than 250 words summarizing the objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions of the study.
    • Include 3 to 5 keywords that accurately represent the content of the manuscript.
  4. Introduction:
    • Clearly state the objectives of the community service project or research.
    • Provide a brief review of the relevant literature and the significance of the work.
  5. Methods:
    • Describe the study design, data collection methods, and any statistical analyses used in the project.
    • Ensure that the methodology is presented in sufficient detail to allow reproducibility.
  6. Results:
    • Present the findings of the community service project or research clearly and concisely.
    • Use tables, figures, and graphs to support the results when necessary.
  7. Discussion:
    • Interpret the results and discuss their implications in the context of the broader community development or service objectives.
    • Compare the findings with relevant literature and previous studies.
  8. Conclusion:
    • Summarize the main outcomes and contributions of the study.
    • Clearly state the practical implications and potential recommendations for future initiatives.
  9. References:
    • Follow the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style for in-text citations and the reference list.
    • Ensure that all cited references are listed in the reference section, and vice versa.
  10. Ethical Considerations:
    • Authors must adhere to ethical standards in their research, including proper acknowledgment of sources, no plagiarism, and obtaining necessary permissions for any copyrighted materials.
  11. Submission Process:
    • Submit your manuscript online through JAMU : Jurnal Abdi Masyarakat UMUS submission portal.
    • The manuscript will undergo a peer-review process, and authors will be notified of the decision in a timely manner.
  12. Publication Charges:
    • JAMU : Jurnal Abdi Masyarakat UMUS does not charge any submission or publication fees.
